When coffee meets storytelling.

Some mornings deserve to be waited for.

I recently started my subscription with @standartmag , and the first issue arrived while I was traveling. I could have opened it right away—but I didn’t. I wanted a quiet morning, the kind where time slows down and coffee becomes part of the moment.

Today was that morning.

Tucked inside the package was a small gem—Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Konga, roasted by @thebarnberlin . I brewed it as a careful pour-over, letting the bloom rise gently, already hinting at something elegant.

The aroma was soft yet expressive—delicate fruit layered with a tea-like clarity. In the cup, it delivered exactly what it promised. Apricot jam sweetness came first, followed by a refined black tea character that gave structure and depth. The finish? Silky, almost weightless, lingering just enough to make you pause before the next sip.

It’s one of those coffees that doesn’t overwhelm—it invites you in, quietly. Paired with the pages of Standart, it felt like more than just a brew. It felt like a ritual—thoughtful, intentional, and deeply satisfying.

Sometimes, the best cups are the ones you wait for.
