Candy in a cup, but make it coffee.
Some coffees arrive with a name that sets a mood even before the first grind—and today’s brew, “Frozen Candy”, did exactly that. Roasted by Tiny Tiger Roaster and shared through our Specialty Coffee Crossover Bangladesh circle, this one felt like a quiet little treasure.
As I started grinding, the aroma was instantly playful—soft sweetness, almost nostalgic. I brewed it as a pour-over, keeping the pours gentle and spaced, letting the light roast open up gradually. The bloom itself carried a delicate, sugary fragrance that hinted at what was coming.
In the cup, it lived up to its name beautifully. Nougat and caramel formed the base—smooth, rounded, and comforting—while a subtle cotton candy-like sweetness floated through the finish, giving it a light, almost airy character. It wasn’t loud or overly complex, but rather refined in its simplicity—like a well-made dessert that doesn’t try too hard.
Coming from Chikmagalur, the profile carried a certain warmth despite the light roast—balanced, sweet, and quietly memorable. One of those cups that doesn’t overwhelm you, but gently stays with you.
Sometimes, coffee doesn’t need to be bold to be beautiful.
Sometimes, it just needs to be… sweetly precise. ☕✨
